At Liberty University School of Law, law is taught and learned in the context of the Western legal tradition and Christian worldview. Students enjoy a culture that encourages their faith, their desire to do justice, and their career preparation and success. They learn professional skills in a unique, six-semester skills program that includes live simulations and document drafting each semester. When they first arrive, they meet their “clients” for an initial interview. They see these “clients” through trial and also handle their business affairs. Liberty law students use these lawyering skills, even before graduation, through the school’s many clinical, internship, and externship opportunities. In addition to the JD program, dual-degree programs include the JD/MBA, JD/MDiv, JD/MAR, JD/MEd, JD/EdS, JD/EdD, JD/MA-History, JD/MA-Human Services, JD/MA-Public Health, and JD/MA-Public Policy. Liberty law students like the close, collegial atmosphere of the law school while taking advantage of the big-campus activities of Liberty University. They also like the fact that Lynchburg, Virginia, is an extremely affordable and livable city set in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. They enjoy the accessibility of the law school, with three mock trial courtrooms, all classrooms, and the law library all on one level. Institutional scholarships are plentiful and generous. The student body is diverse in age, ethnicity, faith backgrounds, and locales of origin. In its eleventh year, Liberty is fully accredited by the ABA.
